 You know - this wasn't too bad. It's not my favorite in the series, but it really wasn't bad. And it starred Jessie, voiced by Joan Cusack, which, I had no idea! I could have sworn it was someone else cause it doesn't sound like Joan! But it was! Jessie and Bullseye are the ones that must find a way to save the day - from Tech! Tech is taking over playtime! Tech has entered Bonnie's world and if she wants to make friends she must use Tech! So how do they save playtime? Are there others out there that have been discarded because of Tech? And will Bonnie's parents be concerned about Tech and Bonnie's friends? This movie touches on so much really: how the internet and children are intwined. How children should trust their parents when things are going on with Tech. But also how Tech can be useful. Also - that in a pinch, old friends can come in handy.  Holy cow - this was good! I didn't think this movie would be this good because I wasn't really versed with the human actor, Will Forte, or any of his work. But yeah - Wile E. Coyote and his facial expressions are the best! For years Wile E. has been chasing the Roadrunner. Years. And one day, he sees a commercial by the attorney Kevin Avery. Kevin isn't a really successful attorney and his collegue, Buddy Crane, played by John Cena, really IS a successful attorney. These two butt heads all the time and it leaves Kevin as a big joke. But Wile E. comes into Kevin's office and doesn't leave until Kevin agrees to represent him in a suit against Acme. Now me? I figured Wile E. had enough funds or revolving credit or something with Acme anyways. My husband and I agreed that, by now, he could have ordered himself some food and forgot about the Roadrunner. But nope - here we are. In court. Fighting Acme. And not only does Kevin and his team, which includes his extremely sm...

 I could have sworn my husband had seen this movie before. I really did. But no - so we both saw this for the first time. I was surprised how interested in the characters my husband was. I, myself, followed the story and plot very well and then was taken aback when I saw Agnes Morehead with a scrunched up face and pouting about things! I looked at my husband and said "OMG it's Endora!!!!" For those that are not familiar, Endora was the mother of Samantha on "Bewitched". Good tv show. Went through some Darrens. But at any rate, Pollyanna (played by Hayley Mills) is a girl, whose parents died and now she must live with her mother's sister, Polly, played by Jane Wyman (beautiful actress!). Polly rules a small town - no one does a move without her permission. Except the church - the church does not take sides in such matters.  This was a decent movie. I didn't expect the surprises that this movie posed, but poor Peter Parker. He goes through so much because he's still young. He's still inexperienced with his powers and the responsibilities it brings and - he gives human beings more credit than they deserve. Peter is dealing with life without Ned and without MJ, but he does stalk them. Well done, Peter! Very cool that Ned has a Spider-Man Tracker and that he and MJ went to M.I.T. and graduation is coming and what is Peter doing? Not much but saving the town. I like that the Punisher shows up early in the movie but I still don't know what happened and why there's a debt to be re-paid but later in the movie I'm so glad they do! The problem in the movie is there is someone - or something - or an alien - or whatever that is killing people. Not only killing people, but jumping from person to person to person. But why?  Granted, this movie is from 2009, but I'm just now getting around to seeing it. I've seen the first movie and the villain, Ian, played by David Cross, played it well as his motivation was selfish. Pure selfishness. Now, the Chipmunks go to school. And Dave, played by Jason Lee, is not completely in the movie as he has an accident, and yes, Alvin, voiced by Justin Long, is involved. Innocently involved, of course. So, the Chipmunks are sent to Aunt Jackie, played by Kathryn Joosten. But hospitals are a theme in this movie and now Toby Seville, played by comedian Zachary Levi, has to take care of the Chipmunks and make sure they go to school. And not just any school - they're going to High School. Skip Elementary School, skip Middle School - they are headed to High School. The toughest years of their lives and boom - there they are. They are popular outside of the halls of West Eastman High, with millions of fans - but what happens in High School? How do they stay "cool...

 I enjoyed it. I really did. And the twists and turns and how everyone turned out it was just... it made me smile. And the music! The music in the movie was really good. I will have to find the soundtrack, because, wow, Lady Gaga has done it again. This tale brings all the favs back: Miranda (played by Meryl Streep), Andie (played by Anne Hathaway), Emily (of course played by Emily Blunt) and Nigel (played beautifully by Stanley Tucci). Miranda and Nigel are still at Runway, Emily is at Dior and Andie is writing for a well known publication as an award-winning journalist. Things change, Andie loses her job and she finds her way back to Runway with the help of Irv (played by Tibor Feldman). The fashion, the scene cuts/melds and music combo brings us back into a wonderful world of fashion with the new Emily named Amari (played by Simone Ashley) and 2nd assistant Charlie (played by Caleb Hearon).  Eh. It could have been better. The minions were cute, the little German speaking director was reasonable, but overall I wanted more. The plot, the climax, the intensity of characters - all of it. I just wanted more. I must note I did love Christoph Waltz as Max. I should have realized no one else could have that beautiful German accent in a character. The Minions have a history of wanting to be a part of something evil, to serve someone who is powerful and evil. And things have always happened. But now, when the invention of movies, the Minions have an idea. They have some of their group that have ideas to make a Monster Movie. But what monster? And how? And what is the back story? And will there be bananas? So many questions to answer and they find a book of spells and get their monster. And their monster gets another monster. So now what happens? Will the movie studio accept their film? What do all the monsters what in return for being in their film? Will there be a sequel?...

 My husband and I, being superhero fans, really wanted to see this movie and see the differences and possible similarities to the TV "Supergirl" that we enjoyed so much starring Melissa Benoist. I did enjoy the introduction, at least to me, of Superdog, Krypto. It's sad he wasn't in most of the movie, except for flashbacks, but it was still good to see him.  Supergirl herself, played by Milly Alcock, was not as attractive to me as a superhero. We were introduced to her in the movie as a drunk, and lots of throwing up. Actually, more throwing up during the movie, so I guess that's a thing she can put on her resume. She was very cocky, knowing her strength, until someone shoots her dog. And like my husband said "Didn't this guy learn anything from John Wick?" Truly, don't mess with the dog. It will not go well for him. And yes, Kara had a heart - she cared for her dog, she cared for the girl with a lot of revenge, Ruthye, played by Eve Ridley, and ...

 I'm late to the party, but I finally saw this movie from 1988. Starring Steve Martin, Michael Cane and Glenne Headly, this is a fun movie about two grifters that compete against each other. It starts out with Michael Cane's character, Lawrence Jamieson, a very posh, very fancy and educated man who some how talks women out of their wealth. Steve Martin's character, Freddy Benson, is all-American and his con tugs on the heart strings of the wealthy women and then he spends what he has. And Glenne Headly who plays Janet Colgate, is all innocent in all this. She watches, she learns, but she's innocent and fall for the men. So what will happen with Janet's money? Which man will end up with her funds? And which one will learn their lesson? It was pretty fun and personally, I could see myself falling for the lines of both men myself.

 It was cute. It was a tv episode but it was cute. The Mandalorian, played by Pedro Pascal, was on a mission and Grogu was his sidekick. Along the way I noticed Grogu created his own sidekicks and made friends. The Mandalorian worked for the Republic, and I still don't know where in the time line we are at this point. But the mission, the information, the people he has to talk to - is the Mandalorian being set up? Will he die? Will he lose a limb? And will Grogu be there to help him out? Grogu has learned things since the last time I saw on Disney Plus - like trying to steal food from Colonol Ward, played by Sigourney Weaver. I totally loved seeing Zeb, voiced by Steve Blum. The inclusion of live action with the computer animation was just amazing. I was hoping for something a little different with Rotta the Hutt, voiced by Jeremy Allen White: maybe I wanted something more alien. Maybe something with an accent from a far away world. But he just sounded like my neighbor: a cool dude...

 We took in the new movie last night, my husband and I, as he is a big fan of the He-Man cartoon series and the comics and he has figures and Castle Greyskull and knows a good bit about all the characters. Sitting there watching him through the movie was a delight - he was a big kid again. And I think this will happen to anyone who grew up in the 80s with the cartoon and the comics and the movie back in the day with Dolph Lundgren will totally enjoy this. For me, this was a very funny movie. Lots of comedy. Young Adam, played by Artie Wilkinson-Hunt, starts out a very weak prince. His father wants him to be more, to defend himself, to be strong, to protect those he cares about. Man-at-Arms wants him to have the strength and knowledge to protect himself and his kingdom. And his bestie, Teela, played by Camila Mendes, looks out for him, protects him from time to time, but she still cares.  I guess I was expecting more. I was expecting the abuse. I was expecting the violence. I was expecting the controversy. And I didn't get that. I got music. And yeah, I'm gonna admit that I sang through the movie, yes I did, because I still own "Thriller" on vinyl and I remember listening to it over and over again in my brother's room when he wasn't home. But this movie...I wanted more. I think  Jaafar Jackson did a great job as Michael and his emotion came through very well, but I wanted more from my idol. I was very pleased to see Nia Long as Katherine Jackson. She brought out the tender in that woman completely - a mother who will do whatever is necessary for her family. Good to see Jessica Sula as La Toya Jackson, but I didn't see or hear about Janet at all. Colman Domingo did a good job as Joe Jackson with his facial expressions and domineering Prescence especially with the record executives. But my favorite character in the entire movie was Bill Bray...

 Ok, this one was cute. Go Disney for coming up with something cute and strange and a villain for villain's sake! I mean, this guy...this guy was evil. And the motivation was truly selfish and I love it! Mabel loves animals as a little girl. But she wants to set them free which not all the adults agree with. Poor Mabel visits with her grandmother a lot as a little girl, especially when she gets into trouble. Her grandmother introduces her to a pond area that has a lot of creatures. Mabel learns to love these creatures and how they coexist. As she grows up, Mabel takes her love a little far: she is bound and determined to keep the little pond area free of man. One man, in particular, wants to destroy the area and put in a connecting highway. This little town of Beaverton must have a beaver to help all the animals coexist in this area. Mabel is so ferocious with stopping this guy that she tries to enlist the help of her professors at college. But to her surprise, her professors have ...

 This movie from 2013 was a pleasant surprise. A man and a woman have three grown children, one that is adopted. The man and woman divorced and the man is in a loving relationship with the woman's best friend and everyone is cool with it. The adopted son, Alejandro, played by Ben Barnes, and his wife to be, Missy, played by "Mama Mia"s own Amanda Seyfried, tell mom Ellie and dad Don, played by Robert De Niro and Diane Keaton (who always wears the same glasses in every movie I see her in), that Alejandro's birth mother, Patricia Rae, will be visiting for the wedding. And she's very Catholic. Doesn't believe in divorce. So for 3 days, Don and Ellie must pretend to be married. This does not sit well with Don's lover, Bebe, played by Susan Sarandon. This is quite the star-studded movie, including the priest played by Robin Williams, and the two siblings, Jared and Lyla, played by Topher Grace and Katherine Heigl.  I'm gonna have to watch this movie again. The nerd in me now wants to play the games, and I have no idea why I never played the games in my youth and why the heck I sat there watching my guy friends play these games but now....now I gotta play them. This movie was just fun, and after visiting Epic Universe and going around Mario World and getting coins and just enjoying the heck outta my day, this movie makes so much more sense. I learned that Yoshi eats things. I learned that Mario is the brave one and Luigi is not. I learned that Princess Peach likes Mario and he needs to recognize that. I learned that Peach has a sister named Rosalina. I learned that Bowser lies. I learned that Rosalina has a bunch of kids (I do NOT want to know how!) I learned that if her children had just paid attention and listened to her in the first place, this would have been a real short movie.  I do enjoy a good animated movie. And this did NOT disappoint! I wanted to see "Goat" ever since I saw the previews. I really do like the animation, first and foremost. I am not familiar with a lot of the voice over actors but the animation, yes! And the plot of the story is a small kid (no pun intended) who has dreams and wants to play ball, but he's small and he's not a tough creature but he's smart. And with the backing of his friends and the diner where he works at, he knows how to take a chance and make it big. Caleb McLaughlin did a great job as Will the goat. Had no idea Jelly Roll was Grizz. David Harbour from "Stranger Things" as Archie the rhino, a dad, no less. And Gabrielle Union as Jett Fillmore. I never would have guessed it!  This 2019 movie was actually a delight to watch. My husband and I were looking for something on this rainy night to watch and stumbled across it on Netflix, I believe. Comedy all over the place with death in its wake! Adam Sandler plays a cop trying to make detective named Nick. Nick is married to Audrey, played by Jennifer Aniston. Audrey is a hair stylist and one day that information will help save her life. She and Nick are about to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary and she's always wanted to go to Italy. After a small fight, Nick promises her a trip to Italy. On their flight they meet Charles Cavendish played by Luke Evans. Charles invites them on a yacht to meet his family. The couple is witness to an old man about to sign over his fortune to his new wife, and a murder. Then another murder. Then another murder. And then they are about to be murdered themselves. They they are set up as the killers. And then they are working with the French police on the case. It's f...

  Finally saw "Sinners." All the people I knew at work were talking about this movie. The news and the awards shows talked about it. So I watched it. It's not really my kind of movie. I was afraid that that it was a horror movie, and really, no, it isn't. I was hoping more about the history of the black people and the history of dance and the history of music and I did see some of that but not enough. I get that Remmick, played by Jack O'Connell, wants everyone to be a family. Black, white, Asian (Chinese back in that time) - didn't matter. He was right: Jim Crow South, yeah the white man would try and succeed in taking that Jut Joint away from them eventually.  First time I've ever seen this movie. It's cute. The female dinosaur was pretty scary at first, but she did warm on me. Sid is just as stupid as ever, and common sense is not in his DNA. But he loves those kids. He really wants to be a mother/parent. He wants to be the caretaker, even in the first movie. So it's kinda sweet. But everything really revolves around the baby coming. Manny and Ellie are going to have a baby. Manny is freaking out and Ellie perfectly fine. But they encounter dinosaur eggs. And a mother dinosaur. And a new adventure to find Sid who has been taken by the Mother Dinosaur. And there's a bigger dinosaur out there...and lava. Lots of lava. And very small, very fast predators. The small group band together and meet up with a survivor named Buck. Buck has one good eye and a lot of survivor skills. He and Diego get on pretty well, as Diego is also a single male trying to make it in the world. But can they? If they go off on their own, will they survi...

 Just on a whim, I decided to put this movie on as we ate dinner. Within 10 minutes my husband and I were laughing. The music was good, reminiscent of the 80s "Beverly Hills Cop" soundtrack, the cameos were fantastic, everyone a little older now, and there was a lot of excitement and adventure. The beginning of the movie shows Axel in Chicago, being himself and getting into trouble. But he always comes through for the boys in blue. But over in California, someone gets into trouble, someone is threatened, and his friend, Billy, calls Axel to let him know. Usually, Axel will just give advice or listen or both, but when it's his daughter, Axel heads out west again. But who is threatening his daughter? And why? And will the trio get back together again to solve a new mystery? And can they all stay alive? It was a great trip down memory lane and a wonderful introduction to new characters as well.
