Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers

This was a delightful film! I have never seen an episode of the original Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers tv show. This movie was nostalgic for my husband who has seen practically every episode of the tv show and hummed the intro music. The cameos from different animated shows was just a delight for both of our eyes. We picked out our favorites and had some challenges. This was definitely a "who-done-it" mystery plot and the two chipmunks had to come together to solve the mystery for their friend,  Monterey Jack, who loves him some "stinky cheese". We get to see all kinds of animation styles, upgrades, claymation, and then of course the real-life  Officer Ellie Steckler who totally loves the original tv show of Chip 'n' Dale. It's a roller-coaster ride of how actors' lives change over time, but their love for each other never does. And there is true evil in this world, and I, for one, was glad to see it. Yeah, there's a back story, but scre

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

Ok, so #1 - Jude Law has the best looking eyes ever! So dreamy! #2 - I have to admit that I'm not buying the love between him and the new Grindelwald. I'm just not. I'm not buying it. Yes, that's the way it is. Yes, that's the story's background. I, me, myself and I, do not buy it. Jude and Mads play that first scene very well, very intense, but I don't buy it. I do get that true love will cause a war. Will cause a battle. And many pauses between the two, but no. I just don't buy that they fell in love. Perhaps I'm still absorbed with He Who Must Not Be Named not knowing love and knowing power. Maybe that's it. Maybe my mindset is that I wanted Grindelwald to be consumed with power only, not feelings. Maybe that's it. I found out later that there are 5 movies and not the trilogy so at the end of the movie I was like "oh no, there's more to come." I really liked seeing Hogwarts and I loved seeing Jacob there! Queenie still has m

Logan's War

This was a better move than the other movies I've watched on the same DVD. I had never seen a Chuck Norris movie so I sat and watched this in a collection my father-in-law had left to my husband. I was scared for Logan this entire movie. I knew his motivation and how scary it is to go after vengeance. And the head cop's office is right: he can't be judge, jury and executioner. He'll get himself killed. And Logan's uncle did right by him by teaching him to defend himself. And the military taught him more. The ending left me hanging for Logan's future, but he really should have thought this through. I got to see how Chuck Norris teaches, but didn't get to see how fully he fights until near the end. But overall, this wasn't a bad movie.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Let me just say, it's a good movie. But so many little things got to me. Like people! Stop wasting time! In the tunnel - DON'T STOP RUNNING! If something is after you, or your friend,  RUN! I did note the two mothers and the Hispanic child in the beginning. I noted the evil of the Scarlet Witch and her motivation to be with her children. I love Wong. He kicks butt! And Bruce Campbell and his cameo! I loved that! John Krasinski! I love him in a Marvel movie! I so love him in his role and I'm so glad to see him on the screen. Patrick Stewart surprised me and it makes me wonder if there will be more X-Men in the Marvel universe. I feel bad for Benedict, the actor, having to be a bit schizophrenic: he's gotta talk to himself a lot. And I don't like him with a third eye. It doesn't appeal to me. Lots of death in this movie, lots of senseless death. And a "walking dead" feel. I'm glad I watched "What If..." on Disney plus because one of the mu
