Dirty Harry

Yup, I'm late to the party. I'm finally watching "Dirty Harry" with Clint Eastwood. And I noticed he said his famous "punk" line twice in the movie. And he shoots without fear. And he gets beaten up. And he's good at his job, but sometimes....sometimes a criminal needs to die. So Clint plays Harry Callahan, a detective, on a case to find a sniper. The sniper wants money, and $100,000 back this is just not a big deal today. Back then, the mayor couldn't figure out how he was gonna get his hands on $100,000. But Harry is put with another partner, Chico Gonzalez, knowing that Harry's past partners end up in the hospital or morgue. The sniper is pretty diabolical for the 80s. He enjoys hurting people and killing people. And Harry is willing to risk his job to put him down. He's not quite Columbo. He's not quite John McClane. He's his own man with a wife who passed away - that tidbit was pretty quick in a conversation he had in the movie. But for movie history sake, I'm glad I saw it.
