Grosse Pointe Garden Society (TV Show)

 I've watched the first episode twice! Not only because my friend, Jason, is in it, but because this is about revenge. Yes, dead things help plants grow! Doesn't matter what died, but something has to die to make things grow. It's a Scorpio thing, really. Four main characters make this so ideal: Alice, played by AnnaSophia Robb, is married, she's a school teacher and she has a golden retriever. But then, the puppy goes missing and her collar shows up. What happened? And who is at fault? Then there is Birdie, played by Melissa Fumero. She's rich, she's married, and she has a secret: she has a drinking problem. Which gets her community service with the Garden Society. On the side, she's got her own secret which involves a teenager. Catherine, played by Aja Naomi King, not only sports some excellent matte lipstick, but with a smokin' body, tries to attract her hard-working husband while getting some action with her colleague, Gary, played by Saamer Usmani. She's lonely, she needed attention, and Gary gives it to her. But he has a secret, too. Then there's Brett, played by Ben Rappaport. He is a divorced man with two kids, trying to out-best the man who he caught having sex with his then-wife, who is now her main squeeze, and has the positive attention of his kids. He has dreams, he has ambition, but with his friends at the Garden Society, he has a secret. These four have to come together to keep a major secret and to keep their sanities...and their butts out of jail! So much is going on and so much can go wrong I just can't stop watching. I really enjoyed how they jumped from "Present Day" to "6 months" - it was clever. I am so glad my friend, Jason, was in this. It's always good to see him on screen but with this show, I hope to see him again!
