Ticket to Paradise
It's cute. It's a George Clooney/Julia Roberts flick. Two parents love their daughter. Their daughter graduates pre-law, they're expecting so much from her future as an attorney, the daughter and best friend go to Bali, and now "Mom and Dad - guess what? I'm getting married!" Parents will be parents - thinking they know what's best for their daughter. And I wish I had seen more of that in this film. More plans to make them stop and think, more plans to foil the wedding - just, "more". The performances were good, even with the groom's family from Bali. The son is a lot smarter than the parents think and that's a good thing. I'm on the side of the parents: a little more time to know the love of your life before you leave everything and get married. But, this film has beautiful scenery, a small snake and some surprises. The soundtrack is pretty good, too. It's an average film, but not too bad.
