Violent Night

Wow! I enjoyed this more than I really should have! And so much violence and Santa just kicks ass all over the place! A family comes together on Christmas Eve but there's a villain and his posse on the lose wants  a bunch a money from a woman. And they'll threaten her family just to get it. But Santa is on the case and wow! He is quite the warrior! I love David Harbour in "Stranger Things" but here, as Santa, he is just pure magic. And muscle. John Leguizamo plays a villain and I never saw it coming. His bad of badies think they're cool but if they don't believe, they get their butts whipped! Leah Brady is the key to Santa's bravery and she does a great job holding her own. The whole thing was just really enjoyable. I'd recommend this to anyone who just wants to smile during a good violent scene or two.

Something From Tiffany's

What a cute little movie, but I could have used more mood music. I do enjoy the music that it did have, but it needed more background music. Two men mix up their Christmas boxes from Tiffany's and chaos ensues. Zoey Deutch plays Rachel, a bakery owner whose best friend, Terri, played by Jonica Gibbs, has her back and lots to shove the truth into Rachel's face. Then we have Ethan, played by Kendrick Sampson, who wants to propose eventually to his girlfriend, Vanessa, played by Shay Mitchell, but just not right now. And wow! So much craziness and emotions stir when the ladies open the wrong boxes! But Daisy, played by Leah Jeffries, is right: they need to get this fixed! And so much happens and poor Gary Wilson, played by Ray Nicholson, has to do the right thing and the question is: how? Without the ladies knowing? It's a sweet movie, but yeah, for me, it needed more background music.

Morbius

First movie I get to see in 2023, and I saw this one. I don't mind it at all. I wanted to see this movie for a while because I'm a Spiderman fan and all, and I was delighted to know this character was in that universe. A doctor who wants to save others finds a cure for his best friend and himself but it's more of a curse. And quite a curse. A creature of such strength and hunger that will terrorize so many people and a detective on the case to stop him. But the doctor's heart is still in saving people - even those that want him dead. The graphics were pretty cool and to see Doctor Who as this doctor's best friend - very cool to see Matt Smith in a different character. I really did enjoy it and will watch it again.
