The Wild Robot

 I am completely surprised. I didn't really know what to expect. Maybe something like "The Iron Giant". But 5 minutes into this movie my jaw dropped and I turned to my husband and said "OMG!!!!" Roz is a programmed robot that is supposed to finish its mission and will not lie (kinda like Baymax from "Big Hero 6") and only wants to help. Once it finds the person who ordered it, and accomplishes its mission, it will report back to its base. Only - raccoons. Such thieves, I'm tellin' ya! Raccoons show up after a storm and steal bits and pieces of the robot. What is the robot supposed to do? It finally gets pieces back together but because of the raccoons, the robot is chased by a bear, falls, and keeps falling and an accident happens. Through this accident a baby goose is born. The robot needs to find ways to communicate with the animals around it. And it does. And finds a shorter name for itself than the long name  ROZZUM Unit 7134 . So, the name...

Three Men and a Baby

 No, I never saw this in the 80s. I never made the time. But I saw it today. My husband shook his head and walked away from the tv. I sat and realized a lot of things about 80s movies. Stereotypical males with women in the beginning montage. And as these men take on the responsibility of the baby, they bond together and they bond with Mary and they still love and adore women, but they are less trusting of people holding her. That's so weird, because when I was growing up I saw women in our family always handing off a baby to someone. And then there's the illegal drug thing. That was big with 80s movies, especially "Beverly Hills Cop" and the like. There had to be drugs involved so that the lesson was viewed that dealing with drugs can get you killed. And then there's a baby. Overall this movie was a change of heart for three single men sharing an apartment. Three very good looking men with excellent jobs that share a huge apartment.
