Little Italy

This movie was just too cute! I had no idea Anakin Skywalker could do an accent! So this story is about two families in Little Italy in Canada (had no idea Canada had a Little Italy) and the main men in the family were best friends, Sali played by Adam Ferrara and Vince, played by Gary Basaraba. Something happened and war between the two men split the families. The daughter of Sali is Nikki, played by Emma Roberts. Nikki had a best friend growing up, Leo, played by Hayden Christensen. As they get older, Nikki goes away to London to culinary school and was given the task to go home, get a new menu together and get her work VISA. She comes home to a gorgeous man who bartends at night and works for his family during the day. Also in this mix are the mothers, played by Alyssa Miliano and Linda Cash, who want the men to talk again so that the families can be one. The grandparents are also wanting the families to be one again, but in a different way. Grandpa Carlo, played by Danny Aiell...

Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl

I absolutely love Wallace & Gromit! And this was an amazing addition to the films! You'd have to have seen "The Wrong Trousers" to get why the penguin was in jail, but he's smart! He's so smart and he even sweats which is just amazing for claymation! Wallace and Gromit are hitting hard times trying to pay the bills. When then neighbors see the new invention, a Gnome that cuts the yard and waters flowers and does all kinds of odds and ends around the house, Wallace gets the idea to lease the gnome out to make money, maybe make more of them, so that they can pay the bills. But this gnome, Norbot, is taking Gromit's place. Gromit feels left out and the jealousy is high! But something happens and now the gnomes work for the penguin! How? What went wrong? And can the police solve this mystery? I just enjoyed everything about this - the claymation, the voices, the storyline - all of it! Wallace and Gromit never fail to entertain!

The Wild Robot

I am completely surprised. I didn't really know what to expect. Maybe something like "The Iron Giant". But 5 minutes into this movie my jaw dropped and I turned to my husband and said "OMG!!!!" Roz is a programmed robot that is supposed to finish its mission and will not lie (kinda like Baymax from "Big Hero 6") and only wants to help. Once it finds the person who ordered it, and accomplishes its mission, it will report back to its base. Only - raccoons. Such thieves, I'm tellin' ya! Raccoons show up after a storm and steal bits and pieces of the robot. What is the robot supposed to do? It finally gets pieces back together but because of the raccoons, the robot is chased by a bear, falls, and keeps falling and an accident happens. Through this accident a baby goose is born. The robot needs to find ways to communicate with the animals around it. And it does. And finds a shorter name for itself than the long name  ROZZUM Unit 7134 . So, the name...

Three Men and a Baby

No, I never saw this in the 80s. I never made the time. But I saw it today. My husband shook his head and walked away from the tv. I sat and realized a lot of things about 80s movies. Stereotypical males with women in the beginning montage. And as these men take on the responsibility of the baby, they bond together and they bond with Mary and they still love and adore women, but they are less trusting of people holding her. That's so weird, because when I was growing up I saw women in our family always handing off a baby to someone. And then there's the illegal drug thing. That was big with 80s movies, especially "Beverly Hills Cop" and the like. There had to be drugs involved so that the lesson was viewed that dealing with drugs can get you killed. And then there's a baby. Overall this movie was a change of heart for three single men sharing an apartment. Three very good looking men with excellent jobs that share a huge apartment. It was the 80s and that's h...
