Return to Halloweentown

What a cute little movie! The main actress, Marnie, is different, but it was good to see the other characters back. Especially Debbie Reynolds! And to think: Marnie, in college! And of course there will be THOSE types of "witches" to deal with. And her brother...omg...him and women! Boys that grow up to go after the WRONG women! Happens all the time! But yeah, I like the plot, I love the ending, and yes, magic makes the world go round!

Mom's Got a Date With a Vampire

What a cute little movie! I really, really enjoyed this! I saw it on Disney Plus and thought "Hmmm...never heard of this before. It IS Halloween time, and I AM watching Halloween related stuff..." This little boy didn't believe in vampires until his big brother watched a movie about them and memorized the words and claimed he almost knew all the facts about vampires. Then their mom gets a date with a suspicious man and for some reason - he fits the bill! What a fun ride when these kids try to save their mom! It's a good family movie!

Turner and Hooch

I just saw "Turner and Hooch". I have to give it to Tom Hanks: Even in his early years, he is an actor who uses all of his abilities. He's funny with his comedic lines, he can do prat falls and physical gags with no problem, he can do a range of emotions and he probably stays on script, too! I was not too terribly impressed with Hooch, but the ending made up for a lot. What a way to turn a man's life around! Oh, and there's a lot of Tom Hanks in his underwear. Really, 80s?

1957's "12 Angry Men"

I stage managed the theater production in Atlanta at Stage Door Players some time ago. I never got around to viewing the original movie. It's not a very lengthy movie, but man: the prejudices come out. And the common sense wins over. This is a great movie, in today's world.

The Werewolf of London

What a nice little movie! And I so do love my Black and White horror flicks! I've never seen this one and I was delighted at the plot, the subtle action, and the love affair! This is so well worth the watch!

Typical 2020 - And The Bourne Legacy

So, I tried to edit on FB my Film and Movie list and what happens? I accidentally deleted it. All my viewed movies in 2020. Everything I've seen this year, everything I want to see in the future  - gone. Luckily I have the original list on my computer, but here in the blog, I'll just review the movies I've seen and privately cross off the ones I have seen on my own list. So, October 2020 I saw "The Bourne Legacy." I was bored with it. I mean, just, really. I'm just bored with it. Watching a man in the snow. Watching the other side of what happened in a previous movie. No real villains. And the end, just watching a man sail away and he just doesn't wanna play anymore. I was just bored with it. The first two Bourne movies were better for me.
