Movies, Film and My Opinion

 Wow. I was just...wow. I enjoyed this movie more than I expected to! In the midst of having to listen to my next door neighbor's music all day on Christmas day, I put this movie on and actually got to hear some of it and follow it. It's a sweet movie of love and circumstances and changes. So much black women had to deal with, whether they were of a status or not. And their parents: children trying to please their parents. Doing what was right for them and not for themselves. And the love these two had no matter what the changes in their lives. What a sweet story in a time of prejudice in the U.S. I'd definitely recommend this movie!

 Well, THAT was interesting. I still prefer the first Wonder Woman movie but this was ...interesting. I even saw a profile of Gal Gadot's stunt double up close. My friend says they probably kept the scene because it was really good. The point of the whole movie was "Be careful what you wish for". But there is so much chaos that I don't know how this is gonna get cleaned up. I did like the mid-credit scene but we will see if anything happens in the future. It had a lot of action in it, and I like Steve Rogers fighting with Wonder Woman. But yeah, over all - I like the first movie better.

 My husband and I just watched "Soul". It's not bad. 22 is very annoying in the beginning and it seems she just ruins everything, but in the end, eh. I like the cat. I never expected to see a cat and that was just funny. The music is amazing in this movie. And that little girl who just wants to play and she's really good at it...there are so many like that in the world. This movie warms the soul for those of us that mentor and watch young creative talent. We just don't want it to fade out because it's not what the older generation wants: imagination needs to grow. And I hope this movie will like them old farts know that...

  Not a bad movie at all. And Ariel's daughter is just as naïve as she is. So, nothing has really changed. She tries to do the right thing but because there are secrets, she does something against her own family. I personally hate secrets (my sisters don't get that) and it's crap like misunderstandings that come up later in life. The animation on this was really good but I was just impressed with the voice over acting. And, of course, Morgana sounded just like her sister, Urusla... oh wait! It WAS Pat that did the voice as well! Not a bad movie at all!

 What a cute little Christmas cartoon! Granted, the Ghost of Christmas present came before the Ghost of Christmas Past, but yeah! This was really cute telling of A Christmas Carol! Mr. Magoo makes a wonderful Scrooge in this story. And the little kid near the end that thought he was crazy was cute, too! Overall, this is definitely one to put on the "Christmas Watch List" every year!

 You know what? This movie didn't suck! I was so ready to hate another live action version of one of my favorite Animated films, but nope. I don't hate it. I even liked the way the witch died. I missed Mushu, I missed the expressive horse, I missed the songs, but it's ok. This version should have been called something other than "Mulan", but still, not bad. It definitely displays the honor of family and friendship both She made friends with her fellow soldiers and that will last her a lifetime. I really, really like the idea of honor anyways, and this movie just sealed it for me. It's a must-own!

 I finally saw "Funny Face" and was surprised that Fred Astaire was in it! I knew Audrey was in it, and I have no idea who Kay Thompson was, but MAN! Can she move! She's a true triple threat! She's got the moves, she can act AND she can sing! I was very, very impressed with her more than I was with Audrey! And Yes, I do think Audrey as a person could have been a beautiful model in the real world. She was such a sight! And this movie really showed off her curves! And I like now knowing where the song " 'S Wonderful" came from! This is a true delight!
